FAQ's

1
What can I expect with the initial home assessment?
This includes reviewing medical history and assessing safety risks, social and emotional well-being, sleep quality, nutritional needs, pain management, and cognitive function. Also included is a thorough assessment of the home environment, and the goals and needs of the family. Information is gathered from the clients, caregivers, and family. The purpose is to develop a personalized plan that promotes independence, safety, and improved quality of life within the home.
2
Do I need a referral from a doctor to start occupational therapy?
No, you do not need a referral to start OT! Tennessee is a Direct Access state and allows a licensed Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat clients without first seeing a physician.
3
Do you accept insurance?
Flourish at Home OT is an "out-of-network provider" meaning that we are not contracted with any insurance companies. We accept cash, check, credit card (HSA is accepted) at time of service. After scheduling, we ask that you provide a credit card to reserve your appointment, but it will not be charged until your visit is completed.
